The General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, has strongly refuted claims that he is ‘spreading cash’ to lure delegates ahead of his party’s national executives election.
According to him, the report is totally baseless and an attempt to tarnish his reputation.
“If someone is sharing money, then that is not me, that is not my style,” he told NEAT FM’s morning show, 'Ghana Montie', in an interview.
Mr Boadu says he deserves another term in office because almost all members of the current National Executive Committee are stepping down or seeking new positions in the party.
He said his rich experience over the years and campaign message to delegates will be enough to help him retain his post.
“I am concentrating on my campaign message and the welfare of the delegates. I am not into cash spreading,” he noted.
