Bernard Allotey Jacobs has debunked claims that the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo sat in a bus when he and the First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, attended the funeral of the British monarch, Queen Elizabeth II.
Queen Elizabeth II was pronounced dead on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at age 96.
World leaders were invited to her funeral and burial service by the royal family and President Nana Addo honored the invite.
However, only the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden and his wife were allowed to drive to the funeral in his convoy; all other leaders were officially bused to the venue.
None of the leaders including President Nana Akufo-Addo used any means apart from the bus to the function, according sources.
But Allotey Jacobs says President Akufo-Addo never sat in the bus but rather was driven in a private car.
"He didn't sit in the bus. We saw it clearly. He was in a black private car with Madam Rebecca," he said on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' morning show.

Please Sir, there is nothing wrong if he even sat in a bus. We should ask ourselves why a country like UK with GDP of about $3.7 trillion est in 2022 will be more careful with such expenditures unlike most of sub Saharan African countries who go about spending like crazy then afterwards carry their begging bowls going about begging for grants. In the days of PM David Cameron , He mostly join the train to work . Boris Johnson even ride bicycle to work . Those buses are even luxury coaches and its only human beings that are going to sit in it not goats. Lets stop this hero worshipping on our leaders. They have to feel what people feel on the ground and go ahead to formulate policy that helps all. Leadership is not a place for luxury grand fair. Great leaders sacrifice their comfort for the good of the masses. Even Jesus left the comfort of Heaven with its golden street to come die on a tree for us ( As the bible says ) . So ask yourself what are our leaders sacrificing. We have made leadership a place to go derive luxury and comfort instead of a place to go sacrifice for others good. Wake up black man.
