NDC cannot Attack Alan because He is Clean - Amewu
Honorable John Peter Amewu, the Member of Parliament for Hohoe, on Wednesday, 5th July, 2023 praised the impeccable reputation and of Honorable Alan Kyerematen at a campaign event at the UPSA Conference Hall in Madina, Accra.
Speaking on the second day of Hon Kyerematen's "delegates cluster meetings", Hon Amewu, also Minister for Railways Development, urged delegates to rally behind Alan to save the party from unwanted personal attacks on their presidential candidate by the NDC.
The event served as a platform for NPP delegates from Adenta, Madina and Shai Osu Doku, to engage constructively with Hon Kyerematen, frontrunner in the NPP flagbearer race, on his plans for the party and nation at large.
Hon Amewu encouraged NPP delegates to endorse the candidacy of the former Minister of Trade and Industry in order to counter the forthcoming NDC propaganda which could affect the fortunes of the party in the 2024 elections.
Addressing the delegates, he said the fact that the NDC cannot find any derogatory evidence against Hon Kyerematen is sufficient grounds for party delegates to endorse him.
He called on the party machinery to look beyond the internal primaries to the larger contest with the NDC, the main opposition to the aim of 'breaking the 8'.

Hmmmm, Amewu may be getting it wrong. Allan kyeremanten has been in cabinet for close to 7 years before resigning to contest the presidential primaries. The 2024 campaign will be on the performance of the NPP government as a whole not any individual. Remember what John Mahama said recently. According to Mahama some NPP appointees who have resigned to contest the party's primaries are trying to wash their hands off the economic mess the NPP government has plunged the country into. Hear him " All of them, they dey inside " . This means all serving / former appointees of the NPP government have questions to answer. Amedume is creating the impression that he NDC will find derogatory evidence about Bawumia. What ever Bawumia said and continues to say is on behalf of the NPP government not himself . Amewu should tell us what he meant by "Allan is clean" . Just as Allan served in the NPP government so has he ( Amewu). Is Amewu saying he ( Amewu) is dirty ? Infact he's still serving as the minister of railways. If i may ask Amewu, on who's record is Allan going to campaign on in 2024 if he wins the party's primaries? The supporters of the various candidates should watch their public utterances because this is an in house matter. The NDC will use these unguided utterances against the NPP in 2024. The body of a hedgehog is full of thorns. One day the mother hedgehog turned the baby hedgehog upside down and gave it some severe beatings. Other animals saw this and in a fight between the mother hedgehog and one other ***barred word***, the mother hedgehog was overpowered, it was equally turned upside down and beating well well because it had shown other animals how to beat a hedgehog by using it's own baby as how it's done. If you are digging a hole for someone to fall in, make it wide enough so that in case you slip, you will also get a place to stand inside.
Our respected man Alan Kyerematen should stop embarrassing himself. He is experienced enough in politics to know that he hasn’t got the chance to be the flag bearer for the Npp. These mps who are the people’s representatives will never put their political careers in danger if the reports on the ground don’t favour Bawumia to lead the Npp. Just look at the numbers who’ve come to meet Alan in the photos. It’s simple miserable.
