The Alan Kyerematen Campaign says President Akufo-Addo wants to impose his Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) as its flag bearer.
This comes on back of calls by some aspiring presidential candidates that the party’s super delegates congress should be centralized for a level playing field for all aspirants.
Speaking on Morning Starr with Francis Abban, Spokesperson for Alan Campaign, Richard Nyamah indicated that President Akufo-Addo need not to openly declare his support for the Vice President since everything is obvious and they have evidence.
“He is trying to impose Bawumia on the NPP. We want a level playing field nine out of ten say that put us together in a room. Let’s look at each other eyeball to eyeball and tell ourselves the truth and see how that election turns out,” Mr. Nyamah stated.
He asked if “the Minister, MPs and CEO’s who are wasting public resources following one candidate are doing it on their own volition? It’s obvious you can’t see it?”
“We are not going to have Ministers and MPs going and whipping people to vote in a certain direction. It is not going to happen, that won’t happen. Mr. President please stop that. Nine out of the ten candidates have put a petition the elders are aware they are sitting on the petition.
“They are refusing to address it. If they want us to wash our dirty linen in public we will do that. Who in the past has declared support for any candidate, he doesn’t have to openly declare the system is being whipped and we are saying they should stop it,” the Alan Campaign spokesperson stated.

You are an enemy to NPP by what you are saying and doing. Go out there and campaign. The votes are not on radio
How come deputy minister of finance and railways minister are openly declaring for Alan? They are directly appointed by the president. See how ***barred word*** and ***barred word*** you are this man. Leave Bawumia alone.
When i remember what John Mahama told Bawumia sometime ago, i pity him. John Mahama once told Bawumia that the day he will express interest in wanting to lead the NPP is the day they will tell him something he has never heard before. Even before the contest starts, John Mahama may have started saying " didn't i told you so ". For me, this will be my only pain if Bawumia loses the presidentially primaries of the NPP, because Mahama would have been vindicated. Again the NPP has always been tagged as an Akan party, as if to say they don't like certain ethnic groups. This is why am very happy the Ashanti region MP's who are Akans have come out to openly declear their support for Bawumia, the only non Akan in the contest. That singular move is enough to prove that this NPP Akan tag thing is mere propaganda. The NDC claims the zongo's are their number 1 strongholds, why won't they reward the Zongos with a running mate since they have been Winning massively in a Zongos since 1992? Insults cannot help anybody in this contest, it will rather scare people away from you.
Nuamah? Such a stark illiterate!!!
Listen to this too! Why don't you go and campaign for your preferred candidate?
is Akufo Addo the one going to supervise the elections at the regional level. ***barred word*** talk. master go out there and campaign and stop sitting in studios and expecting to win. bringing the name of the president into this won't win you any sympathy vote. agoro ne fom!!! watch out NPP - this same group is at it again to sending the NPP into opposition like they did in 2008. asem beba dabi............
