Hmmmmmm, the Cecilia A. Dapaah saga has turned out to be " a scar on the conscience of well meaning NPP supporters/ sympathizes". Very difficult to comprehend . The news of this whole saga came into the public domain on Thursday or so. As to how come it never occurred to the minister and her husband that the security agencies will definitely conduct a search in their residence considering the public outcry is mind boggling. What stopped them from evacuating the remaining monies from their residence? If the video footages we are seeing on what's app platforms/ social media are true, then the NPP appointees have been ungrateful to the ordinary NPP supporter. See, the fact that you find yourself as a president, minister, ambassador , mmdce or CEO doesn't mean you are the most intelligent, No. When ordinary people speak, listen, it is in your own interest. This case has taken the shine out of the NPP . It will take sometime for Ghanaians to trust in the NPP brand. Just look at the struggles of the initial NPP leadership from 1992-2000 . The Adu Boahen's, the Agyenim Boatengs, the Safo Adu's, the Hawa Yakubu's, the Peter Ala Adjetey's, Odoi Sykes , Haruna Esseku, R R Amponsah's, B K. Adama's, C K. Tedam's, etc. was this what they were envisaging when they faced the then dreaded Rawlings against all odds during this period? Majority of Ghana's youths today did not witness the Busia regime until it's overthrow in January 1972. Thus when Kufuor and his team came they did a lot to market the NPP brand and the youths responded positively. Hear this, between 1992-2000 the NPP had difficulty getting parliamentary candidates to stand in some constituencies. Some of these people parading as ministers, MMDCEs , CEO's were there but failed to offer themselves. Today they are those hoarding cash in billions at home. As if that is not enough, their actions are putting the NPP to shame. With these , you still expect these young men without jobs to step out to make sacrifices for the party? I feel ashamed as someone who have made contributions for the NPP in cash and kind, however little, in my small village. I just imaging what's going through the minds of those running around campsigning to contest the party's presidential primaries. They have a mountain Kilimanjaro to climb to convince the good people of Ghana that, they will be different. The John Mahama who looked miserable, dejected and abandoned after the 2016 elections now has a field day because of someone's adamancy, you won't listen to anybody, see the mess. What will the Ghanaian electorate be telling the NPP if John Mahama wins the 2024 elections? That John Mahama with all the hundreds of errors he committed is still far better than the NPP? Won't that be a big shame on the current NPP leadership that is if they know shame. Hmmmm.
