Spokesperson for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s Campaign team, Dennis Miracles Aboagye has predicted that the Vice President will win 70% of valid votes at the party’s delegates conference to become the country’s flagbearer.
Sharing his view on the Angel Morning Show on Monday, October 23, 2023, he stated that the Vice President has so far a “substantial 70% of the votes is already secured for the forthcoming election on November 4.”
He emphasized with great optimism that, the current Vice President is undoubtedly the future flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
“The next flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party and President of the Republic of Ghana would certainly be the current Vice President, Dr Bawumia,” he predicted.
He highlighted that the turmoil and occasional disagreements among leaders should not be seen as reaching their zenith, rather it is a phase linked to the campaign period.
“The current chaos and minor misunderstandings among leaders should not be viewed as reaching their maximum extent, instead, it is a temporary situation resulting from the campaign season,” he told host, Yaa Kyeraa.
He further seized the opportunity to request support from delegates in the upcoming election calling on them to come out in their numbers to vote for the Vice President.

@Edem Kudzo, this time round we will not even allow you people to make those ridiculous propaganda let alone to allow the "gullible" to vote for any candidate that the cartel presents. Bawumia has no credibility in the eyes of any discerning Ghanaians, not even majority of NPP members and sympathisers. If he was endeared among the rank and file of NPP, why is he paying exorbitant bribes to get their votes? By the way, where did Bawumia get such amounts of money from? Are they not stolen money's which has left Ghana desolate now? To counter your bogus points: 1. In this age, your ultimate reason why you need Bawumia voted is just to shatter a ***barred word*** ethnic tag on NPP by another party? Really? Are you a serious human being? Ghana has wasted about 60 years, we can't continue to hold on with our progress with problematic leaders just because of inconsequential reasons. 2. Indeed, Bawumia's track record as vice president is unmatched as the most hyped, yet the least delivered. Tell us just one positive impact of his "visibility, activeness, and so called dynamism" if not to enjoy the frenzy and cheap political scores from some unsuspecting Ghanaians. What has his leadership yielded apart from elevated levels of incompetence, corruption, excessive borrowing and mediocrity? 3. This is the most sarcastic statement I have heard. Strong economic and technological/digital background indeed! What technological background does he anyway? Where was he trained in this capacity? Or you mean he's championing the course of technology? If that's the case, I beg to differ, he's only championing the ideas of people who get to meet. He is building a system that will ensure people are buried with their lofty ideas as long as they don't get to meet the president or vice president at the detriment of Ghana. As for his economic background, in which he was truly trained, the least said about him the better. He has proven with time that it's all just emptiness and that's why Ghana will not be risked into his hands 4."His election will bring more votes from the northern regions,Zongos and moslem communities". Fair enough, his election will cost the NPP to lose more votes in the South and Akan communities. 5."He appeals to, and is admired by religious bodies in Ghana " . If you're counting on religion, then don't be deceived, his "hypocritical association" with Christianity will rather cost him, we are discerning children of God and we can read in between the lines. 6."He and his spouse are charistatic and energertize on campaign platforms" I don't know what you actually mean but if it's what I am thinking, then I can assure you that indeed he and his wife are so desperate overnight to cling to the presidency to champion the course of a few cabals in the NPP and also for his wife to showcase her fashion sense and use Ghana's money to patronise designers and in turn cause pressure to weak minded young women in this country. 7. "7.He understand the current economic situations better than anyone, and again the elites believe, since the vice presidential position is just limited and ceremonial, if he's given power he'll do better". The most laughable..Of course he will be something else if he doesn't know that he and his team's unprecedented mismagement and greed to amass wealth brought us here. But by the way, since when did he discover that the vice president's office is ceremonial? Was it ceremonial when he accused Amissah Arthur of incompetence and asked him 170 questions? Mediocress! 8."He's most likely to appeal to the elites,middle/upper class". Trust me, even among NPP support base, he only appeals to the rotten in corruption and stark illiterate! 9. "He has an enviable leadership character(tolerant, humble, visionary etc)". He appears so but is it really the case? A truly humble person, tolerant and visionary wil not be the beneficiary of schematic manipulation of systems and elections. He will not enjoy people's eyes and ears being slashed so that he can be enthroned. Clearly, this another fabrication to tout people of who or what they're not! Let's keep going on on!
Bawumia is the golden opportunity for NPP to break the 8,he's admired by the grassroots...his campaigns have been super...1.electing him will shatter NDC old age propaganda Akan Party tag, this will benefit NPP with huge votes fromthe north 2.Bawumia's track records as vice president is unmatched(most visible, active and dynamic in history of Ghana) 3.His strong economic and technological/digital background makes him favourable 4.His election will bring more votes from the northern regions,Zongos and moslem communities 5.He appeals to, and is admired by religious bodies in Ghana 6.He and his spouse are charistatic and energertize on campaign platforms 7.He understand the current economic situations better than anyone, and again the elites believe, since the vice presidential position is just limited and ceremonial, if he's given power he'll do better 8.He's most likely to appeal to the elites,middle/upper class 9.He has an enviable leadership character(tolerant, humble, visionary etc)....I can go on and on and on
It will be suicidal for Npp to vote for Dr Bawumia, Npp will lose 2024 elections massively because the grassroots are very angry about the kind of governance they are experiencing. What is Dr Bawumia going to tell Ghanaians about the economy? Are you guys serious at all? Voting for Dr Bawumia is like increasing hardships in the country. How much was a bag of cement under Mahama and how much is it now? What was the dollar to cedi under Mahama and what is the dollar rate now? You guys want Dr Bawumia to come for you to continue enjoy Ghana money for the rest to suffer. Aren’t you guys ashamed about the economy?
