The Paramount Chief of the Likpe Traditional Area, Nana Soglo Alloh IV, on Thursday declared his unflinching support for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming general elections.
Speaking through the Nifahene of Likpe Bala, Nana Bulla Osie, he promised to rally his people to give the NDC 99 per cent of votes in the traditional area.
He commended the NDC for defending their voting rights when the NPP government and Electoral Commission denied them parliamentary representation in the 2020 elections.
Nana Soglo Alloh pledged his support during a community engagement at Likpe-Mate by the vice presidential candidate of the NDC, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, as part of her campaign tour of the Ori Region.
He expressed the hope that NDC’s presidential candidate, Mr. John Dramani Mahama, will win the upcoming December 7 general elections to enable him to bring development to the area.
Nana Soglo Alloh said the Likpe area lacks many developmental projects such as roads, health facilities and schools and therefore urged the NDC to prioritise the development of the area when the party wins next week's general elections.
