Organisers of Kumawood Akoben Film Festival (KAAF) awards have finally settled on Saturday, January 16, 2016 as the date for the event which was originally scheduled for December 27, 2015.
However, the venue for the event, Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra, remains the same.
In an interview with Today, a member of the planning committee, Mr. Joseph Hagan, disclosed that the postponement was due to the fact that “the manufacturer of the plaques in Dubai despondently made some mistakes.
“We wish to inform the stakeholders who categorise the formative part of the KAAF wards scheme and the general public that our contracted manufacturer of the KAAF Awards trophies in Dubai despondently made unbearable mistakes with the inscriptions,” he said.
The nature of the mistakes, he said, will need a vast amount of corrections so as to maintain the beauty and perspective of the trophies to achieve its picturesque for presentation.
He hinted that the manufacturer this time will deliver accurate service with due clarity and accuracy.
