Nigerian actor, Jim Iyke, got a good reception when he launched his J.I album, in conjunction with TV Africa, at the Accra Mall last Saturday.
A sizable crowd, comprising mostly of young ladies, filled the Silverbird cinema where the Nollywood star talked about himself in a short documentary and later performed three hip hop items from his maiden album.
A Minister at the Nigerian High Commission in Accra had earlier spoken about the current exciting collaboration between Ghanaian and Nigerian musicians and said that goes way back into the 1960s when musicians from the two countries interacted a lot, especially on highlife projects.
Ghanaian musician, Nii of Project Fame, who featured on a song on Jims album, said it was delightful working with the Nigerian artistes. A long queue formed in the Silverbird store where Jim signed autographs and took pictures with fans.
