A seasoned gospel musician, Prophet Eric Amponsah, has declared that he is not ready to waste his precious time waging a verbal war against those who are using various foul means to tarnish his image.

Prophet Eric Amponsah, who is recognized for the good job he is doing for the Lord, is seen as one of the hard-working men of God the country can boast of.

He hinted that some men of God have failed in their chosen profession because of selfishness and greed, and pointed out that money is not enough to achieve progress in life and that one needs to look into his heart and be inspired by music and the word of God to make the right decisions.

He indicated that activities of certain gospel musicians and pastors do not invoke the presence of God because of their love for money and attitudes towards their fellow human beings.

According to him, a large number of gospel musicians as well as some pastors in Ghana today are not committed Christians, but are only in the industry for monetary gains.

Prophet Amponsah noted that he is aware of speculations that certain pastors are undermining his progress, saying he is not scared because God is solidly behind him.

He said those who are behind the moves to tarnish his image would not succeed in their ungodly activities, adding that they would soon be exposed for everybody to know who they are.

“The Bible says that by their fruits we shall know them. Most of them are not seen as messengers of God as compared to their colleagues in the same ministry,” he declared.

Quoting John 10:10 to support his statement, the man of God said Satan came to steal, destroy and kill, but Jesus Christ gives life, and that any musician or pastor who associates with Satan would be destroyed.

He said despite the fact that some of his colleagues continue to undermine him, he is ever ready to work with them to win more souls for Christ.

As one of the seasoned gospel musicians, Prophet Eric Amponsah, also known as Computer Man, whose music has gone down with the people, called on Ghanaian gospel musicians to use their music to educate the populace against acts that undermine the progress of society.

Speaking to BEATWAVES in Accra, the prophet said he wants the whole world to benefit from his music and his teachings, and so he had taken it upon himself to use it to educate the masses since every Ghanaian loves music.

He is of the view that the development of the country depends on the collective efforts of the people who are expected to work hard to supplement the efforts of the government.

He disclosed that based on his commitment to supporting the needy in society, he had decided to put up a music school and a recording studio to assist upcoming gospel musicians who are finding it difficult to develop their musical talents.
