A week after Mariah Carey's latest studio effort "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" was outed in U.S. on September 29, Trey Songz revealed that all materials in the the album will be remixed. "There's gonna be remixes to everything," he told Rap-Up.
"I'm actually doing some remixing myself currently 'cause some of these records were so much fun to make. It's easy to go in and do a remix," Trey added further. "I'm gonna do a remix to 'I Want to Know What Love Is' myself. I'mma raise the tempo up. I'mma try to make it into something else."
"Imperfect Angel" was predicted to rule Billboard Hot 200 in its first week on sale, garnering around 160,000 to 170,000 copies. According to HITS Daily Double, the album indeed has sold more than 172,000 units per October 6. Yet, it is overshadowed by other new releases from Barbra Streisand and Paramore. Barbra's "Love Is the Answer" scanned 176,000 and Paramore's "Brand New Eyes" pulled in 184,000 copies.
Though so, final result for the selling number has to wait until October 7. Should Mariah's album pass over Barbra and Paramore's, this will be her seventh chart topper and make her the second female artist with the most No. 1 albums alongside Madonna.
