One of Ghana's finest female performers, Akosua Adjeapong is set to celebrate her twenty years of music and entertainment. The celebration will be marked with a musical concert which will feature some top Ghanaian highlife musicians including Nana Amapadu, A.B. Crenstil, Gyadu Blay Ambolley, Asabea Cropper among others. According to the CEO of Media Excel Productions, Ernest Kwesi Ennin, “The idea for this concert is to celebrate the success story of Akosua”.
He disclosed that the organizers intend to use the celebration to raise funds for Akosua's adopted orphanages in Accra. Akosua, who started singing at a tender age, was groomed and brought into the limelight by Nana Ampadu 1.
Akosua thus far has seven albums, her first album, 'Freema', was released in 1990. After releasing her second album 'Asiwa', she joined NAKOREX in 1992 and recorded her third album with the group which was made up of Rex Omar, Amanzeba Nat Brew and Akosua.
