Sensational gospel singer, Obaapa Christy formerly known as Christiana Love has refused comment on the subject of marriage describing such topic as ‘emotional torture’, which brings her bad memories.
Christy when contacted by this reporter during her donation to the Osu Children’s Home on Thursday, to enquire if she has any plans of getting married again brushed aside the subject indicating that she is ready to talk about the donation to Osu Children’s Home or her upcoming album.
“I don’t want to say anything again about my marital status since the hatchet has been buried and talking about such matters could rise my temper”, she said.
Obaapa Christy indicated that she is not interested in making her marriage which is her private matter, an issue of public discussion.
It would be recalled that during the latter part of last year, Obaapa Christy’s husband Prophet Love accused her of extra marital affairs, leading to series of verbal exchanges between the two on radio. On the other hand two gospel musicians, Piesie Ester and DSP Kofi Sarpong, have lauded Obaapa Christy for her benevolence towards the orphans at the Osu Children’s Home.
The two in an Interview with The Weekend Moment said Obaapa Christy is a visionary person who cares for the poor and needy. The police gospel singer, DSP Kofi Sarpong stated that the benevolent initiative by Obaapa Christy is a move in the right direction.
According to DSP Sarpong, he sees nothing wrong with the donation adding that Jesus Christ fasted and after he ate to survive.
Piesie Esther expressed sadness about the conditions of the orphans and has indicated her readiness to do same very soon.
Obaapa Christy donated eleven (11) bags of rice, tubers of yam, five (5) crates of milk, two boxes of soap and five (5) gallons of cooking oil.
Also she donated three (3) packs of toilet roll, one (1) bag of sugar, a box of Milo and canned tomatoes.
