The (P.R.O) Public relation officer of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA),kwame Nsiah Apau, known in showbiz circles as Okyeame Kwame in an exclusive interview with GhanaSuperStars.Com has added his voice to the current debate that Ghanaian musicians are not doing songs to attract international appeal.
He stated that going international is an individual decision and one couldn’t force any musician to be an international musician.
‘Though we are all expecting most of our Top musicians to rock shoulders with 50cent and the like, we should bear in mind that not every musician can go international or want to go international, some musicians might be good for just the African market whiles others may be good for international appeal.
What I personally think is that for Ghanaian musicians to begin to think of going international, we really need more support from the government.
Again, we thank the current government for the fiscal budget money they recently gave to musicians, we hope more will come because Nigeria had 100% government support to get to where they are now’ He voiced out.
