New Reggae act, Redfyah has flared-up his bane about how most Ghanaian producers and investors have sidelined upcoming reggae music artistes who equally have to be treated well just like their colleagues doing other music genres.

According to him, it’s very disheartening how Ghanaians who love conscious Reggae music by Reggae Legends like Bob Marley, Lucky Dube, Eric Donaldson, Peter Tosh, Culture, Buju Banton, Blakk Rasta, Rocky Dawuni, Black Prophet and Papa Wastik among others rather seem
not ready to help in promoting upcoming artistes who have chosen to join in the genre.

"Ghanaians perception about people in the Rastafari Community is all negative and tagged as ‘Outcasts’ yet they have embraced songs by the above mentioned Legends, so what is wrong if you as well accept and support the youth who desire to contribute to the genre?", he lamented.

He further noted that even our established Ghanaian Reggae musicians, Rocky Dawuni, Black Prophet and Papa Wastik do most of their recordings and promotions in their various residing countries, apart from Blakk Rasta who promotes and has recorded couple of his songs with Zap Mallet and Kaywa here in Ghana.

Meanwhile, "we have lot of music producers and quiet a number of people who are capable of investing into Reggae music and its upcoming artistes, however everybody prefer you become known worldwide before they hail and appreciate you", he bewailed.

Redfyah, born Abdul Kurabaso Seidu, under the management of DreamArtz Studio is set to release his debut live recording 8 track-album dubbed ‘City of Gold’. The album has such songs as ‘The Turban’, ‘Aisha Na’, ‘Kurabaso’, ‘For ma people’, ‘City of gold’, ‘Anaataba’, ‘Free
bird’ and an instrumental of ‘The Turban’.

The album was recorded, mixed and mastered in the studios of Camcam Productions in Netherlands and video to ‘The Turban’ http://youtu.be/dv2jr2TkSOQ was directed by Ramzy, CEO of DreamArtz Studio and Richard Ruhule of Tripple Effects Studios.
