Dancehall singer, Kaakie, has launched her KAAKIT UP tour, which is scheduled to take off in the Northern Regional Capital, Tamale, on May 26.
The star dancehall artiste is also expected to perform in Sunyani, Kumasi, Takoradi and Accra from May 26 to September 21. Besides interacting and performing for her fans across the nation, Kaakie, who is also a nursing student at the University of Ghana, will engage in special campaigns to create awareness of maternal health. She will support maternal units of hospitals in the host cities.
According to Kaakie, the tour, which is jointly produced by Rackus Productions and Xtra Large Music, would be a great one since she would be dropping fresh hits no one had heard before.
“Apart from my hit tracks, Too Much, Toffee Pon Tongue, Ewo, D C Tun Up that people know, I have mind blowing singles I will be dropping during the tour which starts May 26 in Tamale”. Kaakie added.
She said, “My first year has been very good - a lot of ups and some downs. But I am grateful to God and my fans for holding me down through it all.
For me, I think it’s only natural that I take my music to my fans particularly outside Accra and, together with my artiste friends, show them love, appreciation and some gratitude for staying loyal to my music and act. So yes, I will urge everybody to come out let’s run things ‘inna’ their city”.
According to Gabriel Boateng, Business Development Manager of Rackus Productions, the company was happy to partner with Xtra Large Music to embark on the tour to ensure that people in and outside Accra not only got to interact with Kaakie, but also got the opportunity to savour great events such as the KAAKIT UP show.
