Okyeame Kwame’s forthcoming event at the +233 Jazz Bar dubbed ‘Okyeame Kama Stripped’ has been postponed to May 8, following an invitation by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, to travel with him to the Seychelles Island as one of his special guests of honour at the Carnaval International De Victoria.
The trip marks 120 years since Otumfuo’s great uncle, Nana Agyeman Prempeh I, together with his parents and 50 other chiefs, queen mothers and servants were exiled for 27 years on the Island by the British colonial authorities.
The ‘OK Stripped’ concert is designed to give Okyeame Kwame fans the privilege to request songs they want him to perform and also to his fans the opportunity to ask him questions which they might be having bordering on his music.
