The gospel songstress who has four albums to her credit, Piesie Esther has said on Gospel Countdown; a gospel entertainment countdown show on Atinka TV that she now mentions an amount of money to be paid to her by pastors when they invite her for shows unlike before.
When the host of the show, Sammy Flex asked her why, she explained that in the past anytime pastors invited her to minister at their churches, she was always disappointed with the amount of money involved especially when she had made it clear to the man of God of coming with her entire team.
According to her, she is now bold enough to tell the pastor about the number of people she is coming with for the program which includes the backing vocalists, instrumentalists etc. hence the amount of money involved.
Meanwhile, the gospel musician who has released a number of hit songs like Me Nti Ase, Apae Amame and Ziba Beko has never been awarded at the VGMAs all these years. But she is optimistic that she will pick an award at the impending VGMAs with her latest track Agye Won Nsem.

That's why I'll not also waste my time to listen to you music
then the criminal pastors of all the churches should stop taking collections to buy cars.if churches will help individual people in their churches with the money they make every sunday, ghana as a country will not go in for a loan for free shs.they will take money from the poor members, build schools with it and still charge the same member's wards tuition fees.the churches,if you allow yourself, they will drain you until the last drop of your coins or blood.they are using the name of jesus to cheat gullible people meanwhile, they are in occultic societies including some of the gospel musicians. so they are all the same,is all about money.
thank u naivety it's high time churches value musicians . The church mostly have a very low budget for musicians
you guys should allow the gospel musicians to be. they dont go to the studios to record their songs with leaves but money. neither do they pay lesser amounts at the studios cos their songs are gospel. they promote their songs with money and big money at that. they pay transportation from their homes to the churches to perform. they go with instrumentalists they have to sort out at the end of the program. and you want them to go and come empty handed cos they sing gospel? if you form your basis with Jesus telling His apostles to give freely cos they have received freely, then the holy scriptures (BIBLE) wouldnt be for sale
You people have forgotten singing is also a calling...you charge before you perform at church...?if its a gospel show or any other even then its fine...U people these days are into competition with yourselves, you are not singing to glorify your maker.most of u consult all kind of dieties just to have a hit song.be carful you young gospel artistes of today.!!!
