The Ghanaian music industry is full of many young budding talents but Cobby Raymond is undeniably exceptional. He is an amazing songwriter, having written over sixty songs for himself and other artistes, but the talent that will soon make him the next King of Ghanaian and African Music is his unique voice . CR started music at the age of 15 as a rapper but soon discovered that his audience equally enjoyed his smooth singing voice, thus he has become a versatile artiste, looking forward to building a successful career and contributing meaningfully to the music and entertainment industry as a whole.

The Young Ghanaian artiste believes this is the right time to introduce himself to Ghanaians after over five years of working in the studio. He, however, decided to release what he calls "music inspired by my great mentor, Kojo Antwi ”. He says he and his management at EKO Music decided to release Afafranto first because Kojo Antwi is a legend who put Ghana on the map and paved the way for many young people like him, thus there is no better way to appreciate him than to sample his song, with his permission.

He hopes Ghanaians would love Afafranto, but he will soon release a full album of his original songs.

For now, he wants Ghanaians to enjoy Afafranto and support his music.

Cobby Raymond says he believes he would soon become the next big thing in Africa but wants humility and constant learning to guide him.

Afafranto was officially released on Y FM by Brown Berry on Sunday, 14th July.

Apart from Kojo Antwi, this young talent is inspired by Drake, Wizkid and Burna Boy.
