$100,000 is how much it will cost a musician to have a song with Nigeria’s music star, Davido. In a recent interview with “BOOTLEGKEV podcast”, the Dami Duru hit-maker, real name David Adedeji Adeleke, disclosed the amount of money he charges for a song feature.

The multiple award-winning artiste explained that his charges differ from artistes, and that he charges those he does not have personal relationships with and those he does differently. Davido however went ahead and stated that the standard fee is $ 100,000.

“I’m charging now, right now, timeless, I take a $100k, if I know you, the video cost and everything”, he said.

While on the same podcast he also commented on American artists embracing Afrobeats as a genre.

Davido has featured several Ghanaian artistes in the past including Kidi, Stonebwoy, Darko Vibes and Sarkodie in the past and fans are curious to know if they’ll also have to cough such amounts if they feature him again.

Earlier this month, Davido announced the debut of a new documentary series that focuses on his life.

The singer who disclosed the title of the series as ‘David’ made the announcement in an interview with Esquire Middle East. Davido disclosed that the series will premiere this December.

Davido said: “I have a movie coming out in December with Netflix. It’s very, very big. This is the first time I’ve said anything about it, actually. It’s a documentary-a docu-series about my life called ‘David’. I shouldn’t be talking about this, but yeah.”

Davido has a tall list of nominations and awards which include Best International Performance nomination at the Soul Train Awards in 2014, African Young Person of the Year nomination at the Future Africa Awards in 2014.

He won the 2012 Kora Award as the best newcomer, Best International Act: Africa at the BET Awards.

Davido's debut album, Omo Baba Olowo (Child of a Wealthy Person), was released in 2012 on the HKN Music Record Label.
