FOUR members of chart-topping band UB40 have been declared bankrupt. The UK reggae group who reached number one with Red Red Wine in 1983 and I Got You Babe in 1985 notched up 50 hits and sold 70million records.
But a bitter bust-up over finances split the band and both their record firm and management company DEP International failed.
Sax player Brian Travers, 52, drummer Jimmy Brown, 53, trumpeter Terence "Astro" Oswald, 54, and percussionist Norman Hassan, 53, were all declared bankrupt at Birmingham County Court.
