Deputy Director of Communications for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Sammy Awuku, is no more addressed as a bachelor. The promising political communicator finally got married in a white wedding over the weekend at the Liberty Assemblies of God Church in Lapaz, a suburb of Accra.
This was the final part of his marriage process after a traditional engagement on May Day Tuesday 1 May 2012 in private traditional marriage ceremony as the first phase to the just gone-by flamboyant wedding ceremony last Saturday July 21, 2012.
The engagement ceremony which took place at the lady�s residence at Chantan, in Accra, attracted several dignitaries ranging from politicians, media personnel, statesmen, close friends and family members.
At the wedding, ex-President Kufour was part of the cr�me de la cr�me of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) members who graced the ones in a life time occasion. Also present were, former Vice President Aliu Mahama, Steve Ntim, ex-Ashanti Regional Minister S.K. Boafo, ex-Trade Fair boss, NPP MP Aspirant, Ursula Owusu, Madam Esther Ofori, Assin-North Member of Parliament (MP) Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Mrs. Agnes Okudzeto alias Daavi Ama among others.
The coupled wined and dined with family and friends at a reception that followed the wedding, at the Physicians and Surgeons College at Ridge, where they gloriously cut giant cake and shared as a sign of appreciation to all present.
However, New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was conspicuously missing both at the engagement ceremony and the wedding. A peacefmonlone.com finding reveals that he was in the Western Region on his �Restoring Hope Campaign� tour.
Mr. Awuku, recently completed his law degree at Zenith University College in Accra, whiles his wife Mary Anane, is said to be a former beauty queen and presently a Banker, who currently occupies a top position at Zenith Bank.
