A Turkish TV presenter has been dismissed after a spokesman for the ruling Justice and Development Party criticised her for wearing a low-cut top on television.
Gzde Kansu's outfit was described as 'unacceptable' by spokesman Hseyin elik because it revealed her cleavage. He launched the attack on Miss Kansu's performance during the Veliaht TV show without naming her but branded her choice of clothing 'extreme.'
He said: 'We dont intervene against anyone, but this is too much. It is unacceptable.'
Following eliks remarks, it was revealed that the host in question was Gzde Kansu, and rumours spread that she had been fired. The shows producer claimed yesterday that Miss Kansu might not take part in the program next week blaming her 'busy schedule.'
But according to news website France24.com Miss Kansus dismissal was later confirmed.
