Adakabre Frimpong Manso Opens Neat 100.9 FM!

Rumors have been buzzing, speculations have been rife in the media, doubts raised if indeed the “King of Morning Shows” in Ghana Adakabre Frimpong Manso is truly moving to the newly opened Neat 100.9 FM.

Peacefmonline.com can confirm on authority that the humorous yet hard hitting morning show host who has been off radio for sometime now is back on air on an entirely different platform in a different setting.

At exactly 1.00 pm on Monday October 14, ace broadcast Journalist will make his debut appearance as host of what will become the flagship programme at his new radio station, Neat 100.9 FM and this would be the official opening of the station and its programmes.

Speaking in an exclusive interview on Peace FM’s awarding wining “Entertainment Review” programme on Thursday October 10, he confirmed that he will be the first presenter to host an entirely fresh news-related political talk-show to officially open the newest and most anticipated radio station Neat 100.9 FM under the big umbrella of Despite Group of Companies, operators of Peace FM, Hello FM, Okay FM, UTV and Peacefmonline.

“God willing on Monday Ghanaians will hear my voice on Neat 100.9 FM”, he assured.

A clearly excited Adakabre, who promised to take Ghana by storm on Monday, however revealed that the programme will not be aired in the early hours of the morning. The witty Broadcaster disclosed that he will be hosting a very hot two hour afternoon show between 1pm and 3pm every week day. Adakabre, who is known for his pushy style of questioning said he has done morning radio for a long time, so he wants to take on new challenges to change the face of radio in Ghana.

“This is a compact show where every point will be raised and whatever that has to be said, will be said within that time-frame This is a programme that will afford listeners an opportunity to be told the truth what exactly is happening in the country and the way forward. The aim is for us to have an understanding of the society in which we live. The most important thing is for us to be as truthful as we can and deal with the relevant and timely issues of our everyday lives,” Mr. Frimpong Manso explained.

Even though the man who introduces himself on radio has Adakabre Frimpong Manso Mamudu Osioma refused to give details of his programme, Peacefmonline has scooped some information which indicates that his programme will be a hot radio talk show which will discuss political, social and general issues affections Ghana, both home and in any part of the world and targets a heterogeneous audience that cuts across government functionaries, business executives, ordinary Ghanaians, the clergy community, entertainers, academia and all manner of persons.

He said he decided to do afternoon radio now because after all the morning shows both on radio and TV, every morning, he believes there are several other angles of issue they can get and it will also be an opportunity to sit back and listen to morning radio to able to know what all the others have spoken about so as not to repeat the issues other people have already discussed and the time is very appropriate because by then everybody is half way through the day and most people would be on break from whatever they do.

Adakabre said “Despite Group of Companies has shown that they are a truly Ghanaian media entity who is taking radio and television to the ordinary Ghanaian” which is one of the main reasons why he decided to move from Multi Media to Despite Group of Companies.

He said the format and name of the programme will be disclosed on Monday afternoon live on air. This programme will be the first live on air program on Neat FM and from what Peacefmonline is hearing there will be a lot more big surprises on the new station as they roll-out their programs one after the other.
