Second lady Matilda Amissah Arthur’s controversial response to a request by the headmistress of Kukurantumi Presbyterian Primary school for government to provide chalk has sparked an unusual show of public philanthropy.
A company, Joy Industries, an actress and comedian Afia Schwarzeneger and some concerned parents have trooped to the school in the Eastern region to donate chalk after the second lady spurned the headmistress’s request.
The donation comes hours after the opposition NPP stormed the the Kukurantumi Presbyterian Primary school’s premises to give two boxes of chalk.
