Host of Ghana’s most popular talk show, Thank God It’s Friday (TGIF), Kwaku Sintim Misa (KSM) has revealed the real personality of his father in the person of Rt. Rev. Godfried Kwadwo Sintim-Misa, a former Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.
According to him, although one may perceive his father to be calm and collected, in his own world, he was a radical leader.
KSM who disclosed this to Abeiku Santana on Accra based local radio station, Okay FM, said his father’s views were not different from his (KSM) during his days on radio setting the records straight.
“My dad was radical but his views were not different from what I said during my days on radio.”
He also disclosed that the issue of heaven should be seen from a different perspective and not necessarily imposing strict biblical doctrines on the congregants.
According to him, when an individual in the church decides to help the less privilege, it is still the same as giving ten percent of his tithe to the church.
“It doesn’t auger well when churches insist that 10% of your monthly income be paid as tithe. If you should give your 10% tithe in caring for the needy in the church, you are still doing God’s work.”
