Renowned radio presenter and DJ, Candy Man has warned colleague celebrities to stay away from the ruling National Democratic Congress(NDC) ahead of the major elections in November.
According to the Atinka FMs DJ, a celebrity must do this in order to maintain his or her career, citing examples to support his claims.
"If you are a celebrity either a musician, an actor, footballer, or a media person and you want to do politics, don't go for NDC. If you do that, your career is at stake. You are doomed forever.
People like Lucky Mensah, Joel Ackah, Mr Beautiful, to mention a few who have openly endorsed NDC have their careers affected. No one hears from them anymore. They are not called for events and movie roles anymore.
If it is music, people don't buy them anymore and not even played on radio. This is an advice that I am giving to you."
Several celebrities ahead of the major elections in Ghana scheduled on November 7th, have endorsed some political parties contesting in the race. Some have endorsed NDC, NPP, and other political parties.
