Radio, television personality and entrepreneur, Deloris Frimpong Manso a.k.a Delay is known for her fluency in the local dialect, Akan/twi. This often projects her as someone who has difficulty in speaking the queens’ language but the outspoken woman says that notion is misplaced.
According to her, she sees no sense in parading herself as an “English woman” when she has bills to pay. “I don’t speak English or use English because, it does not bring money into my pocket. English does nothing for me. “It is not that I did not study it, I did but it’s just a personal choice not to use it or speak it,” she said while interviewing web skit breakout star Kalybos in an episode of her Delay Show.
The Delay Show has hosted almost all of Ghana’s biggest celebrities.
