Kumawood goddess Matilda Asare has spoken after zionfelix.net reported Tuesday afternoon that she has decided to rally behind NPP and Nana Addo ahead of this year’s election .
The actress in an interview with Kumasi-based Ashh FM confirmed her support for the leading opposition party, NPP.
The actress said that a press conference dubbed ‘Agenda 57%’ will be held soon to allow her and other actors to officially endorse the flag bearer of the NPP, Nana Akufo Addo and embark on Agenda 57% for him ahead of the December 7 election.
“We’re holding a press conference in Kumasi to officially endorse NPP and Nana Akuffo Addo. The NDC government has totally messed up everything in the country. Electricity bills are high and businesses have also collapsed. We visited patients at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital recently and if you look at how people are suffering because of high bills, you will cry for them. In fact, the movie industry has collapsed because of bad governance by the NDC.
If you are talking about celebrities in Ghana, talk about Agya Koo, Lilwin, Matilda Asare, Akrobeto and the rest.
The NDC cannot buy our minds with their cars. If they help put things in order for a resilient economy, we can buy ourselves cars.” Matilda Asare is reported to have said on the Kencity Media-owned radio station.
Matilda Asare joins Socrate Safo, A-Plus, Lucky Mensah, Leo Mensah, Bibi Bright and other celebrities who are working to win votes for Nana Addo ahead of this year’s polls.

Anyone who decided to support NDC according you and others has nothing in his head and therefore will do so because of cars? It is NO NEWS when Kumasiano support NPP. We all know you and your families have been supporting the NPP for years.
This Election is all about our Destiny as Ghanaians. It will surely determine where we are all heading towards. Public Servant are on the verge of not been paid this month yet NDCeives are saying the economy is okay. If Better Ghana 2012 why #ChangiLives & #TransformingGhana in any case why shd a Better life be changed if its indeed BETTER ? I'M FOR NANA
Why do u brand those that don't support your view with all de bad words. Who made you judge? God is watching all of us. Let me tell you I intended not voting but the insult on those that support mahama is too much. Why do we have different churches, mosque and shrines if the God we worship is the same.
Bill Asamoah did not endorse NDC. He's too matured & wise to do that under the current economic hardship. I think you are referring to that guy called Sylvester Agyapong, the guy with one pack & a big head.
Come for your gold. If the economy is good we can buy our own car
Sister God bless you.The greedy ones took money from JOHN. Since they want to sing a song with corruption and incompetent Ndc that everything is well with us, God is watching
YOU PEOPLE HAVE KEPT LONG TOO MUCH,,,MATILDA LET ME HAVE UR NUMBER SO I CAN SEND YOU SOME EUROS.
To those actors who are still endorsing JM, is a sign of betrayal n insults to suffering Ghanaians who form the majority, u shouldn't forget u are killing the very industry that feeds u.
You must be someone with very low self esteem:I can imagine your reverence to English speakers. I know people who struggle with the English language but speak fluent French / Spanish / Italian..etc.How about that? Your comment is simply St.u.p.iiid!
Those who ve taken bribes from the ruling government must remember that they are not in an iland of their own, they must look around and see how the poor and the vulnerable are suffering, we shouldn't be selfish, we must stand up and speak for the voiceless. To the so called celebrities, in your state u still consider yourself not good enough, what about those cant even put foods on their tables .Yoo God is watching u, if don't get the punishment today, tomorrow awaits ur children children
