Actor John Dumelo has used his social media platform to make fun of a university graduate for hawking after his university education.
We are not sure what John’s motive was but the “Baby Thief” Actor posted a picture of a gentleman hawking on the street with bread and he captioned it:
“Just saw a knust grad hawking in traffic.. what went wrong?”
But the known supporter of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) was roundly sounded for mocking the graduate, which some believe was perhaps just to score political points and make the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) unpopular.
Among those who have taken John on, is Hiplife Artist A-Plus who thinks John's post was absolutely unnecessary and asked John to remove the post and apologise to the gentleman.
He posted this on Facebook:
“I'm angry!!! Everyday I post my opinion. Today I'm posting my anger. John Dumelo remove this post from Instagram now!!! A bread seller is a human being. You can't just take pictures of people and post it in your page for attention. A bread seller has right which must be respected. A bread seller is better than an armed robber!!! A bread seller is better than a drug dealer!!! It's better for a person to hawk on the streets than to indulge in crime. I'm looking for this bread seller. John Dumelo must apologise to him. Or prepare for a legal battle!!!”
Several others have expressed an anger and accused John of posting the photo with some negative intentions.
Peacefmonline.com investigation has revealed that the gentleman John posted, is indeed a graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and the CEO of a bakery based in Kumasi and he takes interest in hawking on the street to have firsthand information and feedback from his patrons.
Peacefmonline.com is also reliably informed that the gentle man is not happy about John's post.

Y o u are a ***barred word***. Your NDC used 8 years to plunge Ghana into poverty. You want him to use 4 month to transform Ghana. What ***barred word*** head.
what went wrong? So many things went wrong when Mahammer the chief ***barred word*** stole the money he could have used to build factories and jobs for these graduate. This is how it happened, Mahammer stole all the Ghana money to sponsor ***barred word*** like you. buying four wheel drives to and shared among ***barred word*** people like John Dumelo. look at ***barred word*** like Kofi Adams one person hauling about six four wheel drives. what at all does he do for one person to own these cars withing a short period that NDC came to power. Indeed, i get so worried and annoyed when i hear such individuals criticizes this young Government.
I don't blame this ***barred word*** i only blame this current government for this i scratch your back you scratch ma back politics, trust me this ***barred word*** ***barred word*** will be sitting in jail by now if he's in the state for stealing state property. What is the national security doing about this ***barred word***
This's simple, the entrepreneur should take him (Dumerlo) directly to court for what he has done. Mr Baker take some NDC stolen cash from him.
Am a graduate from knust,I started my Popcorn Machine manufacturing after graduating in 1998,I first manufactured one machine and used to operate it myself at various places, all these did help me to know people's reactions towards my machine. Now am producing one of the best POPCORN Making macines in Ghana. My brand name is Naby POPCORN Machine.my number on the machines is 0205022068.I must say john Dumelo has little understanding of peoples actions. He should tone down next time
John is spot on? Why do we still have unemployed graduates when we voted for change. When the president and his team claimed Ghana is so rich and that when they come into power graduate unemployment will be a thing of the past. By this time the liars, barwumia and his father should have a least eliminated 60 percent of graduate unemployment. What the essence of going to university if you will come out to sell bread in the street.
I can see you are still in pain. Would you have written the same thing if NDC were in power?
After all he is better than common th*ef like you Dumelo
What went wrong is that NDC collapsed the economy, and so graduates are employing themselves. We call it Entrepreneurship
Aaah... anokware! Akoa yi hō yé abufu paaa! Such impudence!!! At least the young man is working hard unlike you a common th^.i,e^f . This is so annoying!
