Actor John Dumelo is of the opinion marking Ghana’s Independence Day is unnecessary because there is “nothing to celebrate.”
“Pupils lie on their stomachs to study in Yikurugu, UER, teachers teach IT with no computers all over the country etc. Yet we budget millions to celebrate 6th March?” reads part of the message posted by Dumelo on Twitter on the occasion of Ghana’s 61st Independence Day.

On 2nd thoughts there’s nothing to celebrate. Pupils lie on their stomachs to study in Yikurugu, UER, teachers teach IT with no computers all over the country etc. Yet we budget millions to celebrate 6th March? Ghana without aid starts with us getting our priorities straight.

Do we need the Special Prosecutor before this semblance of a ThīėF is put behind bars? He has the nerve to open his infécted vocał cavïty.
Since when did u know that, Dumelo? The 8 years that your government NDC was in power, did they not celebrate 6th March and were pupils not studying on their stomachs and under trees. This govt is just a little over a year old in their 4 year journey, and you expect all your govts misdeeds including your personal misdeeds against the state to be rectified within this short period. Please be realistic for once. I urge you to return any other state assets you acquired illegally back to the state maybe, no, surely it can buy a few school desks for the kids you are crying over.
why all these insults on John Dumelo? are you pouring insults on him for telling the truth?it's shameful all those past and present heads are not doing anything meaningful with our resources. Please Mr Dumelo, you are a Ghanaian and therefore have the right to express your views about the state of the nation. keep up! Ayekoo!
Martin Amidu, please when are you going after all those who bought V8s at those ridiculous prices? I can’t wait..... Aaaaah!
I can only say that I admire your brave heart Mr Dumelo. If I were you I would dig a huge hole and hide in it. It is precisely because of characters like you that kids write on their bellies and people drink from the same watering hole as their animals. The vehicles that were st0-len by you cost well over150,000 dollars. Think of what that amount would do for the poor denizens of the North. Don't be a hypocrite .
Sure John you are right but you forgot something. Ghana@61 when people steal cars from the state.
My Dear John! Does everything need to be handled by the Government? Personally i would like to know what you have done with your widows might to remedy your concerns?
John the i d i o ts akans will insult you becuase they are from ***barred word***,thats why our tribe we dont marry them we only fuck them
John dumello or whatever you call your self you are very ***barred word***. You don't no what you are saying it seems like you never attended school before ,***barred word***.
It is often said that a good name and integrity are priceless.Though there's some element of sense and truth in your message, people won't take you serious because of past misdeeds which muddied your name and reputation. U attempted to obtain fraudulently a government's property which you knew wasn't right and greed led you to do it. Your actions also contributed to the situation of children lying on their bellies to study. U want to know why? I will tell you why. Anytime anyone extorts or steels from the state it means that money which could have been used for building schools, hospitals, roads and other infrastructure is not available for these purposes again.
