Actor John Dumelo is of the opinion marking Ghana’s Independence Day is unnecessary because there is “nothing to celebrate.”
“Pupils lie on their stomachs to study in Yikurugu, UER, teachers teach IT with no computers all over the country etc. Yet we budget millions to celebrate 6th March?” reads part of the message posted by Dumelo on Twitter on the occasion of Ghana’s 61st Independence Day.

On 2nd thoughts there’s nothing to celebrate. Pupils lie on their stomachs to study in Yikurugu, UER, teachers teach IT with no computers all over the country etc. Yet we budget millions to celebrate 6th March? Ghana without aid starts with us getting our priorities straight.

That is the mark of a $hit~hole president whose ascension to the seat of government was by rigg~ing, sheepishly designed and prosecuted by Dr. Afari-Gyan and confirmed by Jsc Atu~guba. Why has he stopped that 'benevolent' gesture. If he claims he is that benevolent, why has she stopped since he was humiliated in the 2016 elections?

But you found cause to celebrate everything then including the corruption. Me yanko ka wo ano pa do ai. At least being an alumnus of one of the prestigious universities in Ghana should have been enough for some sensibilities ana? Hmmmmm
