In recent days Zylofon Media boss Nana Appiah Mensah has come under intense fire from the Bank of Ghana as they turn their attention on Menzgold Ghana.
In a statement released this week, the Bank once again reiterated its warning that Menzgold is not licensed to take deposits from Ghanaians and that whoever does business with them does so at their own risk.
It has been pointed out that Menzgold does not take deposits and the central bank is conflating deposit taking with their gold trading to sully their name.
Some public figures including GhanaCelebrities.Com Founding Editor Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri and Tracy Sarkcess have all jumped to Nana Appiah Mensah’s defence.
Latest to do so is Shatta Wale, the self acclaimed ‘dancehall king’ signed to Nana Appiah Mensah’s label Zylofon Music.
According to Shatta Wale, Ghanaians have been crying out for someone to help the local sector yet now that someone is here helping he is being pushed out.
“Someone will say God help me, God help me. God has brought somebody too to help you and you’re there and you are doing like this thing. Then we still will be at track zero. Ei ma guy, Menzgold, I like it” Wale said.
