Dancehall musician Shatta Wale is under attack on social media for calling out the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo.
The “Dem Confuse” singer who arrived from his ‘Reign Europe Tour’ on Monday, November 3, went on social media to criticise the president for the ‘economic hardships’ his fans are enduring
According to him, the youth are complaining about being broke and unemployment coupled with economic hardships.
He wrote: “Remember when the youth rise there is no stopping cuz everybody is saying it loud now ..”Chale money no deh “ “the system hard “ my job spoil “ this government has failed us” Yes this is what the street is saying and anyone who will comment and say am lying is a damn liar himself …Mr president stand up !!!”
Immediately after making his statement, some Ghanaians took offence, jabbing him under the comment section of his post.
Some roped in MenzGold saga, accusing his record label’s bank roller of contributing to the hardships Ghanaians are facing.
“Don't forget MENZGOLD has contributed about 80% to this hardship bcoz imagine the amount of money locked there. All those customers can't spend money in the system like they used to do. All the collapsed shareholders of all the collapsed banks have huge amount of money at MENZGOLD that led to the collapse of all these banks. Tell ur boss to pay and see the economy will boost,” Christian Crucial wrote (unedited).
Papa Kwaku Owusu wrote (unedited): “The system is hot yes, send similar message to NAM1 to release monies of the people he scammed. You get mouth talk about the president buh u can't find voice to talk about the people you benefited from, the MenzGold money.. Tell your lazy fans to stop complaining cos if clients no dey pay u for start working. How many of them are into legitimate business.”
“Sake of dey stopped you and your boss from scamming Ghanaians through Menzgold so now you have a problem with the government...,” Kwésï Kíllz II said (unedited).
Some attacked his music and branded his followers, especially the youth, as drug addicts.
“But your so called youth still get money for TRAMOL, CODIENE , AMENIZIA KUSH and get extra money to come listen to ur Milo kONKO MUSIC............. You and your youth shud suck ur mothers!” A M Dollars Kumasi wrote (unedited).
“Aswear ebi only ur lazy poor fun dey cry about hardship...try and find something for them to Do...Mr . youth President..” Adams Hashim said (unedited).

Looms on if your competent mahama did a good job he wouldn't be sitting home frustrated and desperately crying if coming back, I tell you this government hardship is 100% better than ndc hardship! I will understand hardship if our hardworking farmers cry, but not lazy tramadol followers of chasing the wind. Tell those who are crying because of hardship to ho and find land to do the planting for food and jobs since an ndc mp has benefited tremendously from that to the extent of using some of his profit to buy an SUV. You live in Accra with mo job nut choose to follow Shatta Wale for something and you want the president to do what when he has introduced so many interventions you can take advantage of! are those youth better than those doing planting for food and jobs? are they better than NABCO models, are they better than those working in factories, are they better than those Agric extention officers or they want the president to call them and say you go and do this or that? lazy f000*00ls ! were they working during ndc era and this government has fired them? if you want cheap money you suffer in life! The Bible didn't say get wealth by false pretence but it encouraged everyone to work hard and sweat before you eat. Shatta Wale tell those youth, the serious youth are making very good use of the interventions this government has put in place.
shatta u said it all......
Wale instead of attacking President Akuffo Addo, attack your Boss Nam 1 cus he has caused a lot of hardship now,why u dey fear him
Look the guy has said it all. It’s the truth, the president for no say times are hard. Stop insulting Shatawale because he has spoken the truth. The incompetent level of Akufo-Addo is becoming too obvious. He talks too much and does nothing. Wait and feel the wrath of the street in 2020
This guy should tell us when Ghana became heaven. With your so called wealth , you can also help create jobs for the youth instead of joining a crime syndicate to scam some Ghanaians
Hmmm I think the Man just spoke the truth oo. If the good for nothing government just got up and start shutting organizations down left and right what do you think will happened.
Only generational thinkers will understand the man
I day wonder why some people day talk like dat why dem no day ghana way day don't know wat day go on I sure say dem day get something day chop.dem mash up iverything pan Di system way Di youth day beg fi arms before get belyful,if dem go fit carry tax payers money and give it out to a private company in Di name of who and who takes Di profit, wen we day talk den some people day talk wat dem don't know dis is not about shatta is about Ghana and how our money is been spent so if u don't have anything to say quit shotop #bLiM

YOU STILL DEY DEFEND A PARTY INSTEAD OF BEING GHANAIAN?. EI.. WE WILL BE IN FOR A BIG MESS IF WE DON'T START BEING GHANAIAN. GHANA IS NOT WORKING, THINGS ARE HARD AND YOU THINK MENZGOLD IS THE CAUSE?. MAY GOD LET YOU SEE THE REAL DAMAGES THE GOVERNMENT IS CAUSING US. TIME WILL TELL.
