In this day and age of social media, authenticity has nearly gone extinct. When Afia Schwarzenegger can airbrush her butt to another colour and Benedicta Gafah can eliminate her belly button, how can you trust anything you see on social media?
Every photo you see, especially of the celebrities, is just about 5% real. Everything else is a fantasy which causes other people to feel insecure about themselves for not living up to those impossible standards.
In her latest photo upload, Actress Lydia Forson has taken things au-naturale in a new photo uploaded to Instagram.
Lydia posts the pic without makeup or filters, adding the caption: “No make up, no filter – just some vitamin D,”
After the ten year challenge this is the new trend we need – as role models, celebrities should be encouraging authenticity and not always hiding behind technology to promote a fantasy look.
Check out Lydia Forson’s post below…over to you Moesha, Gafah, Shyngle etc.
