Family of the late Highlife Singer, Anokye Supremo can finally bring his mortal remains back home to Ghana, Manager of the late musician confirmed on Neat FM's "Entertainment Ghana".
In an interview with host Kwame Adjetia, the Manager, Isaac Kwabena Zachariah expressed gratitude to all Ghanaians for making contributions so the family could have custody of Anokye Supremo's body from the hospital in India.
The young musician passed away after battling for his life at the Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences, Mukundapur in India, after undergoing surgery to remove a brain tumor.
The artiste, affectionately known as Daddy Lumba Jr., was diagnosed with the illness after experiencing severe headache that affected his eyes, and was therefore flown overseas to receive medical attention.
His sudden death occurred on Wednesday, January 30, 2019.
The Manager had earlier disclosed that the family of the deceased needed an amount of about 36000 dollars to bring the body home and had appealed to all Ghanaians to help the family.
The Manager is pleased to inform Ghanaians that the late Daddy Lumba Jr will arrive in Ghana on Monday, February 11, 2019.
"We're grateful to everyone who contributed to help us get the body. We will process the conveyance of the body on Sunday and hopefully the body will be in Ghana on Monday at 12 noon.
"They (Ghanaians) have shown us love. We appreciate their help," he said.
