The story of the day is the tragic news coming out of the United States that Bettie Jenifer, wife of Ghanaian actor Chris Attoh, has been gunned down.
Jenifer was killed by an unidentified gunman whilst returning to her car after work, shot in the head and unfortunately passing away from the wound.
Jenifer was known by Ghanaians as the foreign lady who married Attoh after his first marriage broke down, but there’s very little about her life and accomplishments that we know.

Greenbelt PD Statement On Circumstances Surrounding the Death of Chris Attoh’s Wife Bettie
The Greenbelt Police Department has released a statement addressing the passing of Bettie Jenifer, the wife of Ghanaian actor Chris Attoh.
The statement gave more details about how Jenifer’s body was found, the initial conclusions of the police and how the shooting went down.
The 44-year old died due to a gunshot wound to the head, the statement said. She was killed by a gunman who ambushed her whilst returning from work on Friday evening.

FATAL SHOOTING
On Friday, May 10th at approximately 5:10 P.M.officers responded to multiple reports of a shooting in the 6300 block of Ivy Lane.
Arriving officers discovered an adult female in the parking lot suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene. Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim had exited a nearby office building and was walking to her vehicle when she was approached by the suspect, who was armed with a handgun.
The victim then ran across the parking lot followed by the suspect, who fired multiple shots at the victim, with at least one shot striking her.
The suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle described as blue in color, no further. The suspect is described as a black male with a thin build and black hair, wearing a dark shirt and dark pants.
