Articulate Ghanaian actress, Lydia Forson has observed that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has succeeded in embarrassing himself publicly following his refusal to heed to advice from a section of Ghanaians.
According to her in a Tweet, the President who is impervious to advice, was laughed at during the Women Deliver 2019 Conference in Vancouver over comments to the effect that women constitute majority of the population in Ghana but not much political action had been witnessed in their push for greater inclusion in Ghana’s political administration.
“We are not seeing enough dynamism and activism on the part of those who are seeking. I am talking about dynamism where it matters…electing people to Parliament, controlling political parties because they are the instruments by which our societies make decisions.
“We are talking about decisions, not wishes and hopes, we are talking about decisions that are going to make the difference,” President Akufo-Addo said. His comments appear not to have gone down well with gender activists like Lydia Forson who took to social media to jab the President in a thread of tweets.
“This is our President talking at the Women Deliver 2019 Conference in Vancouver. This pictures sums up how a majority of the women and panel reacted to his views on gender activism. When we talk you don’t listen, then you’ll go out there and get laughed at eh,VERY PUBLICLY! ????”

Dear Madam, it appears that’s all you know to do! Perhaps you should back your talk talk with action and seek help with the action from the president- which it seems to me the president was saying. It can’t always be your way only or the highway. Please don’t be so full of yourself.
That arabian lady has the gust to speak to our president like that.... until recently women were not allowed to drive in those arab countries... Or to go to the staduim ...has she finished advicing her ppl.who see women as chattel n we get re .ta.rd.ed ppl like lydia to spew out non.se.n.se Concentrate on your weight
Miss Forson, you rather should stop embrassing yourself. You seem to be confused and desperate. It shows in your comment. think the president is telling the truth but because you Ghanaian women cannot take the truth you are attacking him unfairly. Giving women chance in leadership doesn't mean any woman should be called to a leadership position. I think you should look for a man to marry and stop embarrassing yourself.
Lydia, please listen again and again what the President said and pick out the wisdom he put across.Women in Ghana will make our country and themselves betterment if they listen to that wise saying of the 'Sage'
what is this shoplifter saying? don't ever think Ghanians have short memories ok? its only lousy john mahama who will say that we do forget everything that happen to Ghanians It is still fresh in our mind that about three years ago you were caught red handed for shoplifting in London shopping mall,a big disgrace we cannot forget ok? bigthief indeed.
Okuraseni who told you they were laughing at him? eeeeiii in fact Ghanafuo have some people they call celebrities who see Obroni cheering as laughing! they were happy and cheering wai awura! the civilized world are not like you who frown your faces to make you look like kakamotobi for people to get scared of you ! if they were unhappy they would have kept quiet or somebody among them would have shouted something unpalatable that is their way of life, they are different from you ! laughing means they are happy and agree with you! Go back and listen to people who met Trump and know how they live! okuraseni, when they visit and go to stores they think they are somebody, you have disgraced yourself by not knowing how they live! They keep quiet on things they disapprove or shout, yell for you to know their opposition! They love humour and that was their reaction to that they laughed and a lady invited the President for a dinner and what does that tell you ? disaffection? then you have a problem! Listen to them anytime they meet Obama he talks to them in a humorous way and you see the ecstasy they show by laughing! nkurasesem saa mongyai wai! Ghanaians laughing is different from their laughing! where Lydia Forson will laugh they will tell you it's not funny ! Get it! Too know it all ndc Mahama girl !
***barred word***, who r u to talk to the president??
Lydia, perhaps you seem not to understand what the President meant on subject. In as much as we need more women representation in Politics, they have to work for it and not handed to them on a silver-platter. You are a celebrity today due to your hard-work. In countries where we have had women as Presidents and Prime Ministers, the women fought for it just in the same way as the men.
Who is this girl? Freedom of speech has become so cheap her & A plus are nuisance. These two the later to address her wife's make up that makes her look like toy & this girl not her fault.
Go away with your warped views.
