Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Samini, has joined the social media campaign for the consumption of locally-grown rice. The campaign to buy made in Ghana rice has increased in recent times, especially as the festive season approaches.
In a video circulating on Facebook, the multiple award-winning artiste was seen on a rice farm advocating the consumption of local rice. “On this note, rice from Ghana is what all Ghanaians must eat, both home and abroad. This is rice from Ghana and if we start patronising rice from Ghana, in the next 20 years or even less, you will be surprised what the Ghanaian economy is going to be like,” the Gyae Shi hitmaker said.
Samini further disclosed that he will be launching his own brand of local rice soon.
“Watch out for my own brand of rice,” he added.
