Going on tour with FOKN Bois, over GH¢ 20,000 worth of prizes, including a cash prize of 3,000 ghc, a recording deal, professional video, management and promotion; this is what talented musicians in Ghana compete for this August.
“With the elections coming up we want to spread the message of peace and hope. We will let Ghana decide which of the underexposed talents in music should achieve their dreams.” says Wanlov the Kubolor of FOKN Bois.
Bands and artists audition at music dropping points in Takoradi, Tema, Kumasi and Accra. A music panel will select two artists/bands from each city who will audition in Accra to the FOKN Bois.
One winning artist/band from each city will join FOKN Bois, EFYA & Yaa Pono on their FREE 4-city tour performing live to crowds of over 8,000 per city.
From the 3rd until the 9th of September Ghana gets to vote for their favorite artist or band via SMS. Voters instantly receive a free ringtone of their favorite band/artist.
The “BIG In Ghana Talent Hunt & Tour” is made possible by Bavaria. “Bavaria is a Dutch beer brand that thinks and behaves differently. We believe everyone deserves a break once in a while.
Beer brings us together and helps us to break down our barriers. Breaking down barriers was also the vision that formed the foundation of the Gimme Pinch Talent Hunt. This competition will give Ghana’s best talent a shot at breaking through to an international audience.”
