Former World Champion, Joshua Clottey has been offered the opportunity to fight for a world title. Clotey would mount the ring soon to battle American, Shaun Mosley in a WBC Welter Weight Title bout in November.
The Ghanaian boxer disclosed this in an interview with Fox FM in Kumasi on Tuesday. He revealed that the contractual terms of the bout was almost sealed, adding that he would emplane to the U.S to start training for the fight.
Clottey, who could not state the exact date of the bout, promised to win the fight in a grand style, adding, My aim is to become a two-time champion. I do not fight for money.
He recently lost to Miguel Cotto under dubious circumstances, adding, I have chased Mosley since 2004, but he has always dodged me and this is a great opportunity for me to beat him. Clottey confirmed that he had ordered his managers to opt for a non-American referee and judges to officiate the bout.
