Former World champion Joshua Clottey left the country on Tuesday evening to the US to face Gabriel Rosado at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino, New York, on December 19.
The ex-IBF Welterweight champion told DAILY GUIDE SPORTS that he was ready for the bout, having put in much by way of training.
“Kofi, I am ready for this fight, I have been preparing feverishly on the quiet. Winning will put me in a better position to battle for yet another world title.
“I believe the one-week acclimatization will help me a great deal. I can’t promise a knockout for now, he is a fine Middleweight boxer, but I am convinced per my workout, expect a great performance,” he said.
Rosado is an American professional boxer and two-time world middleweight title challenger. He is a former NABA (interim), Pennsylvania State and WBO Intercontinental light middleweight champion.
