President Akufo-Addo has congratulated Isaac Dogboe on his recent boxing victory against Jessie Magdaleno in Philadelphia, USA.
Isaac Dogboe is the new World Boxing Organisation (WBO) super bantamweight Champion after he knocked out Mexican Jessie Magdaleno in the 11th round.
The 23-year-old nicknamed Royal Storm, recovered from a first round knockdown to produce an outstanding performance to beat the title holder in front of a very hostile crowd.
President Akufo-Addo in a Facebook post on Sunday said “Congratulations to Isaac Dogboe on his victory over Jessie Magdaleno, and, in so doing, becoming WBO Junior Featherweight Champion, and Ghana’s youngest-ever boxing world champion. We are proud of him, and I am confident that he is destined for greatness!!”
