The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the Hockey Africa Cup of Nations, Ghana 2009, will on Friday, September 3, present a formal Report of the tournament to the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Magnus Rex Danquah, Chief Executive of the LOC told GNA Sports that the presentation of the Report formally closes the chapter on the competition that spanned July 10 to July 18, 2009.
He said the report will be in a form of text and pictorial that will recount how the nation was able to build the magnificent stadium in three months, the inauguration of the LOC, through to the tournament as well as the challenges.
Rex Danquah added that the Report includes suggestions on the way forward for the sport and how the Hockey Stadium should be managed for the nation to derive its full benefit.
South Africa emerged champions in both the male and female divisions of the tournament.
Egypt and Nigeria were the other participants of the tournament.
