The October 4 date set for the commencement of the Glo Premier League looks in doubt now as the GFA deals with legal issues relating to the composition of teams for the competition.
Tema Youth, who were relegated at the end of last season after fielding an ineligible player, are contesting that at the Court of Arbitration for Sports and now claims the body want them re-admitted.
Meanwhile a fan of the club is battling the GFA in court and has already placed an injunction on them officially declaring the relegated and promoted club.
We will deal with the court issues so we can start the league as soon as possible, GFA president Kwesi Nyantekyie said according to Kickoff.
Asked if they will be able to meet the October 4 start date he said, I cannot say for certain but we definitely complete it by the May deadline set by FIFA for all national leagues.
