T.B Joshua Predicts Nigeria Under -17 Game

EDITORIAL: See Who Are Talking

Don't Criticize T.B. Joshua: Prophet

Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) with its headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria, has dismissed rumors that its founder, the world renowned Spiritual Leader, Prophet T.B Joshua, prior to the final match of the 2009 FIFA U-17 tournament in Nigeria, prophesized that host nation Nigeria would beat Switzerland to win the tournament.

The rumors go further to allege that, the Man of God again revealed during the last round of the African world cup matches that, the Super Eagles of Nigeria would beat Kenya 3-2 in Nairobi, whilst Mozambique would defeat Tunisia 2-1 in Maputo, to pave way for Nigeria's qualification to the 2010 FIFA World Cup to be hosted in South Africa.

In an exclusive live interview on G.BC FM station in Sunyani, with Sports host, Cubagee Uriel, the Director of Communications for SCOAN, Rev. Sam Canaan, described the rumors which was carried by both the print and electronic media in and outside Ghana as "false, unfounded and mere fabrication." He cited the current president of Ghana, Professor John Evans Atta Mills as a living testimony of the prophet’s prophecies.

Rev Sam recounted several revelations prophesized by the man of God, Prophet Joshua that had all come to pass and said viewers of emmanueltv worldwide, would attest to that fact. He expressed worry about the manner some media houses go about with their reportage and said, "The culture of journalists twisting facts and adding figures to people’s words must be stopped if they are to sustain the trust and confidence reposed in them by the general public," he advised.

Video evidence later sent to the station indeed revealed that, on Sunday 11 Oct,2009, one month after Prophet Joshua had prophesized the results of the fourth round of the 2010 FIFA world cup qualifying match between Nigeria and Tunisia that it would end in a draw, the man of God on seeing the reaction of a man in the congregation during service in Lagos again spoke forth of a prophetic revelation concerning the fifth round of the 2010 FIFA world cup qualifying match between Nigeria and Mozambique in Abuja. According to the prophecy, Prophet Joshua said the match would be won by Nigeria and that the goal would be scored through a header.

Well into the 90th minute, the match was still in a goalless stalemate. In a last minute gasp for goal (3rd minute of time added on), the goal-keeper of Mozambique could only parry Obafemi Martins shot whilst Obina Nsofor headed the ball in to seal victory for Nigeria to Confirm the Prophet's prophecy.

That match was a crucial encounter that could have knocked Nigeria out of the running or keep their hopes alive. If the 11th October, 2009 match against Mozambique had ended in a draw in Abuja, it would have led to the end of Nigeria’s world cup dreams. Without that one goal, African power house, Nigeria, would have failed to qualify for the second straight FIFA world cup in succession.

During the 2008 African Cup of Nations quarter final match between Ghana and Nigeria, Prophet Joshua is on record to have prophesized on 3 Feb, 2008 during service, that Ghana would defeat Nigeria. Prophet Joshua ended the prophecy by quoting John 16 v 33 to advise the Nigerian soccer fans.

Concerning the Super Eagles 2010 FIFA world cup last qualifying match against Kenya in Nairobi , the media capo indicated that, Prophet Joshua indeed made a revelation that Nigeria would qualify for the world cup tournament to be hosted in South Africa in 2010 but never predicted the score of that encounter.

On the allege prophecy that Nigeria U/17 team were to win the 2009 U/17 FIFA tournament, Rev Sam described it as "journalistic error’’. According to him, prior to the final match, players of My People Football Club, visited the church during service to seek divine grace for their colleague Emmanuel Sani who is a member of Nigeria's U/17 squad.

Rev Sam said on that occasion the Man of God revealed that their colleague would be rewarded but not Nigeria winning the tournament. After the final match which Nigeria lost 0-1 to Switzerland, Emmanuel Sani received the MVP award as well as the silver shoe .

The Director of Communication said all prophecies made by Prophet Joshua during service are recorded and that anybody in doubt can contact the church for copy or watch them on emmanueltv.
