THERE IS a hot race going on behind-the-scenes for the vacant Black Starlets coaching job by three of the most popular coaches in the country.
Coaches Isaac Opeele Boateng, Abdul Karim Zito and Paa Kwesi Fabin have all expressed interest in the national under-17 coaching job, Daily Guide Sports has gathered.
The three have been shortlisted for the post and they have started lobbying behind the scenes with the hope of landing the job, the paper also learnt.
The Starlets coaching job was last held by former Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Black Stars robust defender Frimpong Manso. A source said each of the three shortlisted coaches stands a chance of being picked for the top job.
He however said he would not be surprised if the job is eventually given to Paa Kwesi Fabin as the odds favour him for now.
