Ghana has moved down a staggering 18 places on the latest Fifa/Coca Cola ranking released on Wednesday.
The west African state is now ranked 33rd in the world and has also been knocked off the perch by Ivory Coast in the African standing.
Ghana earned 509.55 points by beating Congo 3-1 in the 2012 Africa Nations Cup qualifier but recorded no points following the Black Stars defeat to South Korea in an international friendly four days later.
Ghana was 15th and 1st in the previous month on the Fifa and Caf ranking respectively but can no longer boast of being the current kings of African soccer as they now lie 2nd.
First five African rankings (Fifa ranking)
1. Cote d’Ivoire (14)
2. Ghana (33)
3. Egypt (34)
4. Burkina Faso (37)
5. Nigeria (41)
