Emmanuel Adebayor has offered words of support to the freshly injured Ghana midfielder, Michael Essien.
The 28-year-old underwent successful surgery on Monday following a season-threatening knee injury sustained in pre-season training with Chelsea.
He will however take an estimated 6-months to make a full recovery but his Togolese friend expects a quicker return of the ‘Bison’. “I wish the Ghanaian star, Chelsea midfielder, Michael Essien, a speedy recovery from the injury his sustained on Thursday,” a statement from the Man City striker through his publicist read.
“No matter what the prognosis, the determined Michael Essien will triumph and join his teammates soon enough to help out with the impending season.”
Adebayor concluded by inviting all well wishers and friends of Michael Essien to join him in praying for the Lord’s intervention and blessings.
