Norway-based goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey has been handed his first call-up into the Black Stars alongside midfielder Rabui Mohammed for Ghana's international friendly against Nigeria on August 9.
Kwarasey, born in Norway to a Norwegian mother and Ghanaian father has been handed his official call up for the game against Nigeria in Watford after world football governing body Fifa ruled he did not need an official switch.
The Stromgedsted goalkeeper is heavily tipped to play a part in that game and told KickOffGhana.com after the switch he is looking forward to the debut.
"Of course I am happy that after the waiting I can now play for the Black Stars. I am now looking forward to it," he told KickOffGhana.com.
“I’m happy I can focus on doing well at club level knowing that there are no longer obstacles to my international future."
